Dr. Carr is a board certified Dermatologist and Pediatrician by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She was the first in the country to complete a combined training program in Dermatology and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

She was raised in Houston, Texas and attended college at the University of Texas at Austin. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was honored with membership in the AOA, the medical honor society. During her residency training, she was voted Best Resident by her peers, and was a resident member of the Camp Discovery Committee through the American Academy of Dermatology, where she volunteered for the children's camp during her summers.
Dr. Carr's interest is adult and pediatric dermatology as well as skin cancer surgery and cosmetics.
Dr. Flowers graduated cum laude from the University of Houston before earning her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She graduated with honors at the top of her class and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Flowers completed an internal medicine internship at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center before serving her dermatology residency at Howard University. Additionally, Dr. Flowers completed a laser and cosmetic fellowship listed with the American Academy of Dermatology at Advanced Dermatology P.C. in New York and completed research in conjunction with the New Age Skin Research Foundation. Dr. Flowers interests are General Dermatology, Surgical Dermatology, Laser Surgery, and Cosmetics.

Dr. Flowers is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Flowers enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children and her husband, who is also a physician.
Denise Hixon, PA-CDenise has been a practicing Physician Assistant in dermatology since 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Houston and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Denise is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners, and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Assistants. Her areas of interest include medical dermatology, laser and cosmetic procedures, and other minor dermatologic procedures and surgeries. Her past research involved the use of laser devices for acne vulgaris, oily skin, hypergranulation post surgery,and actinic keratosis.
As a Physician Assistant in dermatology, Denise is qualified to perform examination, diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate medical therapy for dermatologic needs. She is skilled in performing procedures to include cryotherapy, electrodessication, shave biopsies, punch biopsies, extractions, intralesional steroid injections, and excisions, as well as various cosmetic procedures including injectables (Botox and Juvederm), and lasers (Vbeam, Smoothbeam, Clear and Brilliant, Fraxel restore & Dual, QSRL, QSnd:YAG, Thermage, & Velashape).
Jennifer Buffard, ARNP
Jennifer Buffard, ARNP, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, specialized in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her approach to dermatology is patient-focused and evidenced-based. Although Jennifer has a wide-breadth of knowledge and experience in cosmetic procedures, she enjoys educating her patients and the local community on the basic and advanced disorders of the hair, skin, and nails.
Jennifer received a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2006 from South University, followed by a Master's in Nursing Science in 2009 from Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, Jennifer completed extensive dermatology training in general, surgical, and cosmetic procedures from a highly esteemed Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami. Jennifer is nationally board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. She has lectured with the Melanoma Foundation and completed research studies on skin tightening and anti-aging devices.
Jennifer sees patients at our Memorial Herman office located in The Woodlands, Texas.
