Basal cell cancer develops in areas of the skin such as the hands, forearms, neck, and forehead that have been unprotected and exposed to too much sun over the years.

Generally speaking, this type of cancer does not metastasize, but of course, treatment is encouraged as the infection can spread deeper into your skin as time goes on.
